This Site was put together using Microsoft FrontPage 2003. Much of the testing to work out the details was done on the SoThink HTML Editor.

This site is best viewed using Internet Explorer but should work fine with other browsers.

The only Java applet is for the News Ticker on the "Headlines" page.

Javascript is used on many of these pages so, in the unlikely event you have the java script function of your browser turned off, those pages won't function properly.

At times, the "Headlines" and "Weather" pages may load slowly, but not unreasonably so. Data for these pages are accessed from several different servers so the speed is somewhat dependant on those servers and their connections.

Welcome to The Beach!!!

Kick off your shoes, put up your feet, and imagine living life the way it's supposed to be lived.

On this site we have news, sports, movie, and music headlines with links to the stories, weather reports for Chicago, Miami, Honolulu, Los Angeles, and your local weather, live real-time photos from the AMC-16 satellite in geosynchronous orbit above the equator, recipes for your favorite tropical drinks, hopefully interesting stories, and a few games for you to idle away the hours. Also included on the pages are related links to other interesting web sites.

To kick-off this web site, the first story I have is about one of my favorite songs, The Girl From Ipanema. There is more to this song than just words and music so I encourage you to enjoy a good read.

I'm working on the next story which, hopefully, will be up soon. I'm not telling what it is, but I'll introduce to you the one and only Billy Shears and the mystery behind that name. For those who know what I'm talking about, there are things that have happened in the past few years that make this an even more interesting story.
